I saw your work at Hampton Court Flower show - am I imagining it or were you working on a picture of the cathedral in Barcelona ? If so when would that be available? By: Kath
My suggestion for a drawing would be the row of colonial houses in The Rocks district of Sydney. Very close by there is a wonderful "clochemerle" - completely out of context and character with its surroundings, almost like a folly! It has some very intricate detail on the wrought iron which might be interesting for you to photograph to draw. Don't go inside - it stinks!!!

Hi Alastair The pictures arrived safely today. They are wonderful. The two other pictures of your work that I have are framed in a tarnished bronze type frame. I bought them through Fired Earth interiors a couple of years ago. I would say that I do prefer the bronze frame. I had anticipated that my recent purchase would be in the same frame. Is that an option?

Dear Mr Howie, When I visited your stand at Tatton on Thursday I did speak to your father and was very interested in and impressed with your work, the way you go about it (I saw the partly completed drawing of a car) and the coloured pencils you use, which I understand you import from America. Since returning home I've been wondering , what kind of coloured pencils are they and how could I source them? Would it be very impertinent of me to ask you for this information? Keep up the good work, Mr Howie! I particularly like your recent image of Edinburgh. It is an extremely high standard work, technically and artistically, to which I might aspire but never come within a mile of achieving; but the fun is in trying I find. Sincerely,
Leslie

Alastair, Just to confirm safe arrival of the picture, as ordered at Hampton Court a couple of weeks ago. It's up in the lounge already, opposite Antigua Casa Figueras. Looks fabulous!
Many thanks, and see you again.

First visit to your website. My brother has a little tea and coffee merchant's shop in Victoria Street (not on your picture unfortunately), but you have certainly captured the beauty and 'feel' of this charming little street.
